    Default weird squeek

    hi all,

    i have a squeek coming from the rear end of my car.. i think it maybe the rear muffler bein loose. but i cant be certain.. i havent heard it before today.. so, anyone got any ideas.. and if it is the muffler.. how do i tighten it back up?

    get under the car and have a look tiger, the sqeek could be a number of things (a mouse even) so get under the car first and see if the muffler is loose and then try to described the sound a bit better. Chances are the muffler has slipper off one of the hooks under there, is pretty easy to put them back on just have to look at it

    jump under ya car and get one of ya mate to jump up and down in the boot, u should be able to find out roughly where its coming from

    i think i may have found what it was.. i got under the car when i heard it.. i aint that silly ... but anyway, there is a plate ( i take it, its a heat sheild or something) and it was rubbin on the muffler.. so its not fixed

    sure its not the handbrake... do a search for handbrake noises and you will find some stuff on that.

    nar it aint that.. i already have that problem and know how to fix it.. quick pull of the handbrake whilst doin about 10kph and its gone..
